Here's what some people had to say...
I'm so happy to be able to work with Katie from KnockOut Organizing. She makes it easy to stay focused on the task at hand. She is understanding and has so many tips on getting a room organized and keeping it that way for the long term. – Anne A. |
Katie of KnockOut Organizing recently helped me get rid of some clutter in my life. She guided me as I decided which items to keep and which ones to let go of. We cleared out a lot of old, irrelevant stuff that I haven't looked at for years, which has left me room for important new things as they pop up. – Barb F. |
Organizing my pantry was always something I wanted to tackle. I had tried on several occasions, but usually got sidetracked and had trouble dealing with the overwhelming feelings I got when I tried. Katie was able to help me finish this overwhelming task. She had a gentle way of helping me deal with getting rid of outdated items and with organizing, according to food groupings, the contents of my pantry. She was very understanding when I had any concerns and asked me if I'd like to be included in the process, which made me feel I was able to achieve the final goal. Katie was very easy to work with, and had many helpful ideas. It was a pleasure working with her. I wouldn't hesitate to have Katie help me with other organizational projects in the future. – A.L. |
I was redoing my kitchen/office and was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff and paper five people can accumulate over 20 years. I enlisted Katie and she has been and continues to be a godsend. She is easy to work with, very practical, and kindly lets you know what can be let go of. I am still using her services. I have many plans ahead in an eight-room house. – Vivian W. |
My mother has lived in the same house for several decades and has accumulated decades' worth of “stuff.” When I would come home for visits I would clean up or get things organized just to have everything go back after I left. The clutter was driving me nuts and I needed someone to help my mother tackle the mounds of paperwork, clothes, knickknacks, and other stuff lying around the house, attic, and basement. My mother would be filled with anxiety and not know where to start and just get overwhelmed. Simultaneously, you could tell she was embarrassed/frustrated at times to have us at the house for longer periods because of the clutter. I got Katie up to date on what she needed help with. For my mother, getting started was the hardest part – not only trusting someone to be in her house, but to know this person had her best interests at heart. Katie talked over her plan with my mother and how they would go about setting that plan in motion. Katie has been amazing! They are working room by room. Katie works with her on some days, but then gives her assignments when she is not there. Katie gives me monthly updates with pictures to show me the progress. I don’t usually bring up the cleaning/organizing with my mother because I don’t want to create extra anxiety, but this week she brought up the fact that she wanted to have some friends over when I visit. This statement alone brought tears to my eyes. The fact that she wanted to have people over was outstanding. You could hear the pride in her voice and feel her sense of accomplishment. Thank you, Katie, for all you have done in helping her declutter and have a clean home to live in again. – Brenda J. |
